This course was developed to assist inactive
nurses update and review current nursing practices and procedures.
We recognize the need for licensed nurses through out the nation
and aim to fill that need through continuing education. Upon
completion of this course you will be able to:

cultural considerations.
2. Explain the principles of intravenous therapy,blood products and
patient controlled analgesia.
3. Demonstrate techniques of primary and secondary intravenous
therapy.
4.Describe the nurses responsibility for client education in
parenteral therapy with the use of intravenous,blood
administration,and patient controlled analgesia.
5. Explain the principles of enteral feedings and parenteral
nutrition.
6. Indentify the nurse's role in administration and parenteral
nutrition.
7. Describe the and care.
8.Define nursing measures, with rationale, for the prevention of
pressure ulcer development.
9. Define nursing assessment of the development of pressure ulcers
and common treatments.
10. Describe the principles of oxygen therapy.
11. Demeonstrate the principles of airway clearance and
tracheostomy care.
12. Describe the nurse's role in maintaining underwater seal cheat
drainage.
13. Explain the purpose of chest percussion and postural
drainage.
14. Describe the principles of bladder irrigation.
15. Differtiate between urinary and colon diversions.
16.Describe the nurse's role in stoma and peristamol care including
client education.
17.Define the purpose of electrocardial monitoring.
18. Identify BASIC cardiac rhythms/arrhythmias, including common
pharmacological agents administered by the
nurse.
Clinicals
Clinical facilities provided upon request
(health care facility, nursing home, or combination of healthcare
facilities.) If participant decides to take on the responsibility
of finding clinicals on his or her own. Each state determines the
number of clinical hours necessary for reactivation of your
license. CLINICAL PAPERWORK MUST BE PROVIDED TWO WEEKS BEFORE
CLINICAL START DATE THESE INCLUDE:PHYSICAL,HEP B SERIES,MMR, TB
SCREENING AND FDLE BACKGROUND CHECK.
